Poker night at Sasha’s

Brandon introduced me to his friend Sasha who always hosts poker at her place.

My first time visiting her place at Gemini Grove here at Beijing for some home game fun time poker:

Lars the danish guy that keeps showing off his “breasts”:

Sasha with Mr Italy. She got quads that night. There were actually 2x quads that evening. Mr Italy was kinda drunk, I like playing with drunk people muahahaha, they tend to be come more….brave:

Palle, also from Denmark (I also play golf with him at the BGC) got cleaned out pretty quickly earlier on in the game. I think he’s new at poker, but definitely not new at golf. He’s consistently a 78 player (at golf).

Naomi, LP player, hard to get her to fold! She racked up quite a stack!:

Nice group shot after the game:

Me and some winnings:

I look pretty damn pleased with myself:

Looking forward to the next game!

If you’re in the ad industry, don’t work in Malaysia

“It’s also worth nothing that median base salaries in Malaysia are substantially lower for both genders than any other market surveyed. In account management/media/planning for example, men are only paid US$30,000 a year and women US$18,900. In all other countries, men are compensated around US$60,000 a year and women around US$50,000 (with the exception of Singapore, where women earn US$38,900 a year).”

No wonder more and more ad industry people are moving out of Malaysia and to other markets.
